The green pepper has moved to image y = 207 pixels in the high-camera view, which supports a secure transfer. The red basket fills the right wrist view, and the chocolate is now out of view below it. Was it actually held? The first chocolate remains near pixel (385, 238) in the high-camera view, essentially unchanged throughout the right arm’s motion. Looking back from observation 408 onward, it stayed near (386, 237) while the right gripper moved significantly in X, Y, and Z.
I previously treated the chocolate’s presence at the bottom of the wrist view as evidence that it followed the gripper. However, a stationary object would move downward and out of view as the camera moved upward and forward. That is what the recorded views show: in observation 404, the bar extended from approximately (220, 480) to (450, 240); in observation 406, its white end was near (370, 280), with the rest extending toward the bottom; in observation 408, the white end was near (370, 310); in observation 411, it was near (330, 420); in observation 414, a tiny white portion was near (310, 450); in observation 417, it was near (320, 460); in observation 420, only a tiny white portion remained at the bottom, around y = 480; and in observation 423, none was visible. This is consistent with the chocolate being left on the table, rather than held. Its high-camera position remains near (386, 238), and the right opening command is 0. I now conclude that the right grasp is empty. Only the pepper lifted; I missed the chocolate slipping immediately during the lift.
The right gripper is now near the red basket and empty. The green pepper remains held: its wrist-camera position stays consistent while its high-camera position moves. I can finish placing it while preparing another chocolate grasp.
The chocolate grasp may have been too high despite the shallow tilt. The pads were near z = 0.81 m while the bar’s midsection was near z = 0.76 m. Could I grasp with fingers above and below it? The low frontal approach should work if the fingers truly reach its sides. The horizontal link6 approach stalled near z = 0.80 m. I did not reach z = 0.76 m; the measured height stayed near 0.801 m even with a target of 0.79 m. Could the forearm or gripper base have contacted the table, or was the horizontal target unreachable? At link6 z = 0.801 m, horizontal fingers would also be at z = 0.801 m, about 3.5 cm above the bar.
A 15° downward tilt at wrist z = 0.805 m would put the fingertip near z = 0.764 m, which looks suitable. However, after 3 steps the actual tilt was only about 5°, leaving the fingertip near z = 0.791 m, still about 3 cm above the bar. I should let the rotation reach 15° with position held steady before closing, rather than closing too soon.
Another option is a 45° downward approach. At wrist z = 0.90 m, I estimate the tip at z = 0.789 m, still too high. To reach the bar’s midsection at z = 0.76 m with a 45° tilt, the wrist should be near z = 0.87 m. My original straight-down grasp had link6 at z = 0.923 m and fingers near z = 0.765 m, contacting the bar’s top rather than its middle. With a 45° tilt and link6 at z = 0.86 m, I estimate the fingertip at z = 0.749 m, near the table, while the pad at local X = 0.1 m would be near world z = 0.789 m. A side approach at wrist y = -0.20 m and z = 0.87 m would put the tips near y = -0.09 m and z = 0.759 m. Closing along world X would give a pad-height span from about z = 0.79 m to 0.75 m, with the bar’s midsection at 0.76 m near the tips. This might provide better side contact if accurately centered. The bar is long, thin, and low, so I need the fingertips near z = 0.75 m and a slow lift from its exact center.
I also considered using both arms to lift the chocolate, with one gripper at each end to distribute torque. The skill says to avoid using both grippers on one object unless necessary, and perhaps the repeated failures justify it. The left arm could help after placing the green pepper, but coordinating the subsequent transfer would be harder. It may be unnecessary if a better single-arm grasp works.
I considered moving the red basket in front of the chocolate and pushing or scooping the bar inside, conditional on a basket height of 0.08, but I cannot use that approach. Another possibility is grasping a protruding wrapper edge if one end has been raised by the earlier attempts. The high-camera view currently shows the bar horizontal and flat. A deeper straight-down end grasp might work, but a target of link6 z = 0.905 m, intended to put the fingers near z = 0.747 m, previously stalled at z = 0.923 m. Perhaps finger–table contact caused that stall; if the finger extent were 0.173 m, the minimum link6 height would be 0.923 m. A 45° tilt gives a vertical fingertip component of about 0.111 m plus a horizontal component, allowing contact near z = 0.76 m with link6 at z = 0.87 m before the tip reaches the table near z = 0.75 m. I will try that angled approach.
First I’ll finish the green pepper placement. The left link6 is currently at (-0.077, -0.261, 0.919) m. I estimate the distance to the blue-basket approach at (0, -0.06, 0.95) m as 0.219 m. I can proceed in 3-step increments, first toward (-0.03, -0.15, 0.95) m, which I estimate is 0.139 m away, then toward (0, -0.06, 0.94) m, an estimated 0.097 m farther.
Meanwhile, I can reposition the empty right gripper above the chocolate. Its current link6 position is (0.205, -0.185, 0.945) m with a forward-facing orientation. I’ll target (0.147, -0.20, 0.90) m with the 45° downward quaternion [0.653, -0.2706, 0.2706, 0.653] in wxyz order. I estimate the rotation from forward-facing as 45°, or 0.785 rad, within the allowed limit, and the position distance as 0.083 m. This appears safe and will tilt the empty fingers downward. For the next 3 control steps, I’ll keep the left grasp closed while moving toward (-0.03, -0.15, 0.95) m, and open the right gripper while repositioning it above the chocolate.
